MEDUSA DEKA

The Medusa Deka was been designed as an answer to the needs of the modern adventure cyclist, ticking boxes that off-the-peg touring, gravel and mountain bike frames often struggle to. Aspects of a sporty geometry are blended with comfort inspiring features, making for a well-handling ride, even when loaded up with bikepacking equipment.

Short chainstays enable a bike that climbs exceptionally well - even on loose or wet surfaces - while a touring bike specific fork trail and a low bottom bracket provide stability on rough terrain, also achieving optimal handling for long days in the saddle. To keep the back end short, but still leave adequate mud and chainring clearance, a raised driveside chainstay design has been employed, meaning the need for a traditional machined yoke can be foregone. This improves stiffness and keeps the weight down.

Two examples of the Medusa Deka have won awards at UK editions of the Bespoked Handmade Bicycle Show. In 2024, a Medusa Deka won the award for 'People's Choice', sporting colour matched mudguards and colour matched front luggage rack. The neat, utilitariuan nature of the frame captured the attention of many spectators. The unique raised chainstay design was also a common talking point. But it 2026, I brought a more classically styled version of the Deka frameset to the Bespoked show in Peckham, London, where it picked up the award for 'Best Finish'. This frameset differed from previous iterations, with its stainless steel fork and intricately hand carved bilaminate work.
